Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Picxo AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our mobile app, website, and related services (the "Service"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in our Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and contact information
When you create or manage an account, we may collect:
- Email address and authentication identifiers (including sign-in through providers such as Apple or email links, when you use those features)
- Billing-related identifiers associated with subscriptions (for example tokens or transaction references from the App Store or payment partners—we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers when Apple or a processor handles payment)
1.2 Photos, prompts, and outputs
To provide editing and AI features, we process photos you upload, text prompts or instructions you provide, and generated or edited images. We may store this content as needed to provide features such as history, galleries, or session continuity, as described in the app.
1.3 Device and usage information
We automatically collect technical and usage data, which may include:
- Device type, operating system, app version, and language
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP (for security, compliance, and service optimization)
- Diagnostics such as crash logs, performance data, and interaction events (for example feature usage and errors)
1.4 Cookies and similar technologies (web)
If you use our website, we may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain sessions, and measure engagement. You can adjust browser settings to limit cookies; some features may not work correctly if you do.
1.5 Support communications
When you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the information you provide (including messages and attachments) to respond and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal data to:
- Provide, personalize, and maintain the Service
- Process images with AI and deliver edited or generated results
- Process payments and manage subscriptions (via platforms such as Apple)
- Communicate with you about updates, security, and support
- Monitor usage, troubleshoot, detect fraud or abuse, and enforce our Terms
- Improve the Service, including using aggregated or de-identified data where possible
- Comply with legal obligations
- Send marketing communications when permitted; you may opt out as described below
3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract (providing the Service you request)
- Legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service, preventing abuse), balanced against your rights
- Consent (for example marketing, where required)
- Compliance with legal obligations
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate Picxo AI (for example cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, subscription management, and AI processing). They may access data only to perform services for us and are contractually required to protect it.
- AI and infrastructure vendors as needed to process your uploads and deliver results (for example Google AI services, Supabase, Vercel).
- Legal or government authorities when we believe disclosure is required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to respond to lawful requests.
- Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale—we will notify you if your data becomes subject to a new policy where required by law.
5. Data Storage
We use services such as Supabase and Vercel to store and operate the Service. Images and related data may be processed on servers located in the United States or other regions where our providers operate.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it, subject to backup and legal retention requirements. You may request deletion as described in Section 8.
7. Data Security
We use technical, organizational, and administrative measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No online service is completely secure; use strong passwords where applicable and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
8. International Data Transfers
We are based in the United States and may process data in the U.S. and other countries. If we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards where required, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by relevant authorities.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these rights, contact us through the support or contact options in the app or on this website. We may need to verify your identity and may decline requests that are excessive, unfounded, or prohibited by law.
10. Marketing Communications
You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message. Transactional or service-related messages may continue as needed to operate your account.
11. Rate Limits
We may apply rate limits to protect service quality and prevent abuse. Related data may be processed to enforce those limits.
12. Children's Privacy
Picxo AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party sites or integrations we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing information.
14. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may grant you rights to know the categories of personal information we collect and use (as described in this Policy), to request deletion subject to legal exceptions, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To submit a request, use the contact methods described in Section 9 and Section 16.
15. EU/EEA Supervisory Authority
If you reside in the European Union or EEA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact details for EU authorities are available from the European Data Protection Board.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will post the updated Policy and revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (for example in-app or by email). Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the revised Policy where permitted by law.
17. Contact Us
For questions, requests, or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, contact us through the support or contact options provided in the Picxo AI app or on this website. We will respond within timelines required by applicable law where those apply.
